You know you have insomnia when trying to count sheep doesn’t work, and trying to multiply sheep makes you wonder why we don’t use a base-12 or base-6 numbering system, and then you have the urge to open your computer and lay these numbers out on a grid…
I’m not a math nerd or anything, but after making this grid and then surfing Wikipedia (just to beat the curiosity out of my system by seeing how little I actually understand on this subject), I was interested to learn that in a base-N system, any number is evenly divisible by N minus one, if and only if its digital root is N minus one (see Number Nine). That’s pretty cool.
Can I go to sleep now?
