Thought du Jour

Planning your career is largely a matter of deciding what kinds of problems you’d like to have… that is to say, what kinds of questions you’d like to spend your time answering, and under what kinds of pressures.

The better you get at coming up with solutions, the more careful you’ll want to be about what kinds of problems you put in front of yourself.

Prioritization can lead to greater specialization — that’s what happens when you decide you like the problems you have.

Prioritization can also lead to adapative change — that’s what happens when you decide you’d like some different problems.
